AUTHOR | JOURNALIST | GHOSTWRITER | SPOKEN WORD ARTIST | SPEAKER | STORYTELLER

Ty Davis is an author, journalist, speaker, and founder of Gap Bridgers 316. His journey from gang involvement, addiction, and incarceration to faith, purpose, and community leadership has become the foundation of his life's work.
A three-time published author, Ty uses storytelling to inspire hope, challenge limiting beliefs, and remind people that their past does not have to determine their future. Through his books, articles, poetry, and speaking engagements, he shares messages of redemption, resilience, personal growth, and faith.
As a journalist for The Community Voice and a community advocate in Wichita, Kansas, Ty is passionate about amplifying stories that matter, strengthening communities, and helping others discover purpose through their struggles.
Whether speaking to youth, encouraging those in recovery, mentoring emerging leaders, or writing stories that inspire transformation, Ty's mission remains the same.
"To help people recognize that God can bring purpose from pain, hope from hardship, and redemption from even the darkest chapters of life."

Through poetry, memoir, journalism, and fiction, I invite readers into stories of faith, redemption, perseverance, and transformation.

Everyone carries wounds from their past. Some scars are visible. Others remain hidden beneath the surface.
In the streets, in broken homes, and behind closed doors, people fight battles no one else can see.
Broken Not Forgotten follows lives marked by addiction, violence, betrayal, and regret as they search for hope, healing, and redemption. As their stories collide, they discover that God's grace is still able to restore what seems beyond repair.

Our pasts don’t cancel us. They’re the fire in which we’re forged, in which we’re made strong, and how we’re moved along on this journey to the people we’re supposed to be. We learn as much about who we are through failure as we do success. No, we’re not canceled, we’re created.
