Our Story
Gap Bridgers 316 was founded in 2022 after a vision that began while I was participating in the Getting Ahead program. During that time, I started planning a community event to bring people together and connect them to resources that could create real opportunity. What began as one event grew into a broader mission — to close the gap between people and opportunity by fostering connection, initiating dialogue, and building sustainable community impact throughout Wichita and surrounding areas.

The Gap Bridgers 316 team is made up of dedicated leaders, volunteers, and community partners who share a passion for serving others and strengthening Wichita and surrounding areas. United by a commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and empowerment, our team works together to create meaningful opportunities, foster positive relationships, and ensure that every event and initiative reflects our mission to close the gap between people and possibility.

Events
Gap Bridgers 316 hosts community-centered events throughout the year designed to bring together families, local organizations, churches, and resource providers in one space. Our events feature mentorship opportunities, community resources, guest speakers, youth activities, and family engagement — all structured to build relationships and connect individuals to opportunities that promote growth and stability.

In order to bridge the gap, or close it, one needs to take action. We cannot sit back and wait for the world to change around us. Changing our way of thinking and taking small steps towards the goals of bridging the gap will help unite the community and create a better life for many.
